Vaughn and Grandma Judi

Vaughn and Marlin

I love my puppy!!

Where's the candle?

The candle was the first thing to go and then little fingers began to poke holes in the icing.

Birthday Cake

What is that??

Happy Birthday to Me...

Singing the birthday song to Vaughn.

Almost Walking Solo

All he wants to do is walk...He only holds on with one hand, now. He is getting pretty good at turning around, too. He can take about 6 steps on his own, but once he realizes he is not holding onto anyone, he immediately stops (or falls).

Arron is SO excited that Vaughn kicks a soccer ball as he walks. Vaughn got to go watch Princeton's soccer practice on Wednesday. He has an Adidas outfit, just like the players. He sat behind the goal and observed. He was so happy to be there, despite the fact it was dinner time and there was no food in sight!

I'm 1!!!

Vaughn had his 1-year doctor's appointment. He weighs 21 lbs. and 12 oz. and is 30 inches long. He has 7 teeth (3 top and 4 bottom) and probably some more trying to push through. He now faces forward in his carseat and loves to ride in the car. He can also eat anything, but nuts. He had to get 3 shots in his arms, but didn't even cry. He just swatted at the nurse when she came close to his arms.

Spring Forward

Just when we thought the sleeping/ nap schedule was established, we had to transition through DST. Thankfully, when Vaughn woke up before the sun this morning, he put himself back to sleep for an hour.

We have been working on walking this week, but we only give Vaughn one hand for support instead of two. He is getting better at balancing. He uses his free hand to explore (translated as grabbing anything he passes like colanders and cookbooks).

Monkey

Vaughn is 11 months and one week. He just woke up from a nap and is a happy baby right now. It is time to play :)

Uncle Lance & Vaughn #2

This one would have been perfect, had Vaughn not closed his eyes. He is very anti-sun and closes his eyes tight anytime the sun shines in his face.

Uncle Lance & Vaughn

Uncle Lance came to visit for the day. Vaughn loves Uncle Lance, especially all of the funny faces he makes. We went to Hoagie Haven for lunch and then watched the Princeton women's lacrosse team beat Johns Hopkins in the second overtime. The weather was warm and sunny when we got to the game and by the end it was cold and windy...'not like Dallas', says Uncle Lance!
